How long have you been in business?
We took over the Chocolate Truffle in Woburn in 2003 and moved the business to Reading in 2006 at which time we launched our manufacturing division.
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary product are our Signature Hand Dipped Chocolates and Truffles made by us locally in Swampscott.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I became interested in the business because I wanted to go back to work. My hsband, Carlo Bacci and I thought The Chocolate Truffle would be a great "seasonal" business, but we quickly discovered every season is "Chocolate Season"
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Making signature truffles, hand dipped chocolates and fabulous chocolate snacks is how we differentiate ourselves from other chocolate stores in our area. Most chocolate stores are resellers of chocolate and some of the chocolate they're reselling is made by us in our factory in Swampscott.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Currently we have three retail stores: Reading, Lynnfield and Winchester. We have our sites on other locations, but right now we're focused on expanding our manufacturing division which continues to grow.

Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Erin Calvo-Bacci and Carlo Bacci own The Chocolate Truffle and Bacci Chocolate Design. Erin is in charge of operations for the retail stores and Carlo is in charge of operations for the manufacturing division.
What are your hours of operation?
Our Store hours are 10:00-5:00 pm Monday Through Saturday.
